Pakistan

It is also known as the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) that is also referred to as Intermediate, is a standardized exam taken by students of the Higher Secondary institution or intermediate college (Junior college) in Pakistan. Once they have completed Matriculation grades 9 and 10 and 10, they are then admitted in an intermediate college and complete their 11th and 12. After they have completed both of the two grades, they again have to pass the standardized tests in the subject areas they study. These tests are administered in the provincial schools at the provincial level, and by the FBISE at the federal level. After passing the tests students receive their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of e instruction is also referred to as FSc/FA/ICS. There are several streams students can select for their 11th or 12th grade , which includes pre-medical engineering and humanities (or social science) and commerce and computer science. Each stream offers three electives as well as three subjects that are compulsory, such as English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the body that is responsible for the administration of all exams for senior schools, which includes the 11th-12th grades Higher Secondary exams (10+2) 11th and 12th grades SEE Exam, and the 8th grade District Level Examination. Once a student has passed the Higher Secondary Exams Students will be eligible to go to university.

Alongside National higher secondary examinations, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a handful of the private, public international and private schools. The level is considered to be equivalent to the National primary school (10+2) examination.
